Personal Assistant Services

Sound familiar? Hiring a personal assistant can be a great way to a break when life is busy.

There are many benefits to hiring a personal assistant, including having someone to take care of tasks and errands, freeing up your time to focus on other things, and having someone to provide support and assistance. We work with clients in South Whidbey Island – Clinton, Langley, Freeland and Greenbank (but will consider clients in Coupeville or Oak Harbor on a case-by-case basis.)

Some Examples of How We Can Help:

The Jones Family, a married couple who are empty-nesters, are expecting their adult son’s family for a visit this weekend. They both work full time as accountants and it is their busy season, so they’re feeling overwhelmed about how to get everything prepared for the upcoming guests.

They hire Stacy to come by on Friday morning. She folds laundry that has been sitting on the couch for the past three days, buys groceries from a list that the Joneses have written out and cuts up fruit and vegetables and organizes them into deli containers so that their son and his family will have healthy snacks readily available. Their son’s wife loves cheesecake, so she stops by a local bakery to pick one up.

She ensures that there are clean sheets for the visiting family members and makes up their beds. Stacy also schedules a car detail for the Joneses for next Tuesday, as their grandkids often get the car a bit sandy after the family trips to the beach.

James is retired and generally in good health, but fractured his right foot, so isn’t able to drive or get around very well for the next six weeks.

He hires Stacy to do some basic household work: tidying up, clearing off the kitchen counters, folding a few loads of laundry and prepping some meal ingredients so that he doesn’t have to stand at the counter to chop everything for this week’s dinners.

He was able to put in an order for groceries, but since he can’t drive, he sends Stacy to pick them up and bring them home to put away.

Jennifer is a single professional with two kids, a middle schooler and a high schooler.

Both of her kids play soccer in the fall, so things can get chaotic. They have practices four evenings a week, and during the time Jennifer finds it hard to keep up on the day-to-day household tasks.

On the weeks when she needs more support, she schedules Stacy to come over and put the house back together while she’s at work and the kids are at school.

During this time Stacy spends three hours on a variety of tasks: stripping the beds and putting clean sheets and pillowcases on, picking up the clutter from around the house and putting it away and folding the clean laundry pile on the couch that has been growing for the past few days.

Jennifer is also behind on yardwork, so Stacy looks up lawn and yard services in her area and gets some quotes on what it would cost to have some work done. Once Jennifer approves, Stacy goes ahead and schedules Jennifer with the lawn service company.

Jennifer’s house was built in 1960 and though much of her electric has been somewhat updated, none of her outlets are grounded. Stacy searches local recommendations for electricians with upcoming openings and gets them scheduled to come replace the outlets in Jennifer’s home.
